EQ-Based Leadership Advisor | Construction & Roofing Industry

Helping construction and roofing owners and leaders close the leadership gap that's quietly costing them their best people, their margin, and their peace of mind.

You've scaled the revenue. So why does leading still feel this hard?

I’ve worked with enough construction and roofing owners and leaders to know what this stage looks like from the inside.

The company is growing. The work is coming in. But something inside the organization is straining — and you’re the one absorbing it all.

  • The supervisor who’s technically solid but can’t hold a crew together
  • The communication breakdown that keeps showing up in different forms
  • The good employee who just gave notice — and you saw it coming but couldn’t stop it
  • The decisions that still land on your desk because no one else will make them

This isn’t a business problem. It’s a leadership problem. And it lives at the top — which means that’s exactly where the work has to happen.

frustrated contractor

I built this practice for one industry.
Here's why.

I’m not a former contractor. I haven’t run a crew or managed a job site. What I am is the person who has sat across from enough construction and roofing leaders to understand exactly what this industry does to its leaders — and what it takes to lead well inside it.

The pressure is specific. The culture is specific. The communication challenges, the retention friction, the owner who’s expected to be everywhere at once — all of it requires a solution that was built for this world, not adapted from a corporate playbook.

That’s why I work exclusively in construction and roofing. Not as an insider, but as a specialist who has invested deeply in understanding your industry — and who brings the one thing most construction leaders have never had access to: a precise, assessment-driven picture of what’s happening beneath the surface of their leadership, and a 12-month partnership to do something about it.

A Blend of Science and Strategy

The foundation of everything I do is emotional intelligence — specifically the EQ-i 2.0 and EQ360, the most research-backed EQ assessments available. These aren’t personality quizzes. They’re precise diagnostic tools that measure the specific competencies driving how you lead, communicate, and perform under pressure.

My broader training in Neuro Linguistic Programming, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, and Leadership Development adds depth to the advisory work — giving me a wider toolkit to draw from when the work requires it.

Certifications:

  • EQ-i 2.0 & EQ360 Emotional Intelligence Assessments
  • Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP)
  • Cognitive Behavior Therapy
  • Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR)
  • Leadership Training and Development

What this means for you: the work is grounded in science, not intuition. We measure before we act. And every recommendation is tied to data, not a hunch.

A Perspective Built on Real Experience

I’m not just an advisor — I’m a business owner. I understand what it means to carry the weight of a company, make decisions without a safety net, and lead through the uncertainty that doesn’t show up in any business plan.

That perspective matters when I’m sitting across from an owner or leader who needs more than theory. It means I can meet you where you are — with both the empathy to understand what you’re carrying and the strategic framework to help you put it down.

The work we do together is grounded in assessment data, built around your specific leadership profile, and designed to create change that holds up in the real conditions of your company — not just in a coaching session.

The leadership gap in your company won't close itself.

If you’re a construction/roofing owner or senior leader who’s ready to stop carrying it alone — and ready to build the kind of leadership that compounds instead of costs — the first step is a 30-minute conversation.

No pitch. No pressure. Just clarity.
